CONFESSIONS OF A LATCH-KEY KID

Once we were plenty old enough, my mom returned to the working-world. She worked an early shift 7am to 3pm - so there was a little block of time that my brother and I were home alone before she got there. But I was not disheartened by the fact that my mom was an hour behind me gettting home everyday because I had a routine. When I got home, I grabbed the "hidden" key under the window sill, threw my books on the hall table and proceeded into the kitchen where I poured myself a bowl of this:



Then I sat down on the living room floor at the coffee table and watched this:



Honestly, I could still watch this stuff all day.
