TREASURES FROM THE GARAGE Part 1

OLD POST from 6/2006:

For as far back as I can recall - I cannot remember ever NOT owning a radio.

For Christmas one year, my parents bought my brother and I got matching transistor radios with leather carrying cases. Sometimes on rainy Saturday afternoons, I'd sit with it in the old car parked in the driveway and just listen to music for hours on end and sing along to my favorite songs.

My absolute favorite radio was this larger portable unit that had colored lights that flashed to the bass of the music behind a frosted glass cover in the front. I am sure the radio somewhere in my parents' garage (vault of my childhood) as NOTHING ever gets thrown away there.

During initial efforts to organize my parents' garage this weekend -
I FOUND IT! And though it's minus an antenna, it still works... flashy lights and all.

That is one funky radio you got there. It makes me want to go looking around in a storage unit of my family's and see what I can dig up.
