Certain parts of Los Angeles cannot handle any kind of "extreme" weather - usually that's lots of rain or cold. We are weather wimps- we fall apart. Yesterday we had strong winds sweep through here. As a result my neighborhood had a power outtage that continues through today. The DWP aren't sure when power will be restored, could even last through the weekend. At first it's kind of romantic, candlelight and all, but in the morning I missed my blow-dryer and I realize that I will probably need to throw out some food. I am definitely going to stock up on batteries and I might prepare to leave the lap cats plenty of food and water and seek lodgings elsewhere if this is gonna take a while to fix. I can live with wavey hair, but not without the Sopranos.
The truth about me: I could have never survived Katrina.
*UPDATE: The lights are back on... but no one is home. (typical)

Unrelated: Have you read My Life and Other Unfinished Business, the Dolly Parton autobiography? It's awesome.
I miss me some LA sumthin' fierce.
I could never live without The Sopranos. In fact, The Sopranos once saved me from a solitary life on the wild frontier. I even had a big furry hat and boots ready to go.
But, the thought of missing out on that show kept me home with my family and friends.
Okay, I need to get going to my full-o-crapanonymous group.
