What is Bastille Day? French "Independence" from its Monarchy - the peasants overthrowing the royals, - storming Versailles and pillaging everything in sight! A day to celebrate the beheadings of the rich!
As far a I know, I have no direct French ancestory - nevertheless - I am romantically convinced I too was slain at the Bastille in a former life. I am not sure why I think this is a possibility - is it my love for Paris, filmmaker Jean-Pierre Jeunet,
or fries?

I missed my chance to see "Paris Je T'aime" on Bastille Day. I saw Harry Potter instead.
vive la France!
What is it about the summer that brings about revolution? Lots of independence days seem to be over the summer, and I don't just mean America.
