ONE SMALL WORD...

(Elysian Park, Los Angeles -->)

Do you know anyone who can literally turn around a stressful moment or even a whole moody day by just interjecting some kind words? Just saying one little thing - even insignificant in the bigger picture - can sometimes just lift your spirits and make you feel good - which can resonate even beyond the moment.

Co-worker: Sun, are you the one who called about the printer? Is the guy coming or what?

ME: (in he middle of creating a complex spread sheet) Huh? Yeah, I'll call him.

Me (aloud): Let me see....where did I put that sticky with the  IT extension number? [light bulb!]  Oh, right, I put it on the printer! I'm awesome.

A: (walking by) That's what I keep telling everybody.

Smiling still.

P.S. thanks to all he well wishers below - cold is gone and now have a hefty supply of Advil C&S for the lab :)

It's nice to have people like that around.

I'm glad that you are feeling better.

At the moment the weather is great here, so what am I doing, sitting in front of the screen?

Answer: Husband is at work and the computer is finally mine, all mine.
