THAT SCENE...

On the Golden Globe Awards show last night they gave director Martin Scorsese a special award. I was thrilled because Martin Scorsese is not only a wonderful filmmaker in is own right - but also demonstrates a high regard for film as an art form.

There is a scene in The Age Of Innocence where a flock of men walk down the streets of New York City and a gust of wind blows and they all grab their hats at the same time. That image has always stuck in my head and I think of it from time to time. Whenever I see it I am reminded how simple yet how brilliant that image was in terms of the story. Anyway - I iPhoned it from the TV last night and thought I'd post it because... it is one of my favorites.
