ELLIOT SMITH "MISS MISERY"

I miss Elliot Smith. Got the chance to see him perform at the Troubador just before his all-too-short rise in the alternative accoustic music scene. His songs touched me and I'm sad that he's no longer with us. He lived in Silver Lake, in my 'hood. I never did run into him (though I've seen Beck at Trader Joe's and the Backdoor Bakery) but it was nice to know that he lived there too.

Director Gus Van Sant used Elliot's music for the sound track to Good Will Hunting and it garnered him an an Oscar nod for best original song. He looks so nervous in this clip. Anyway, I'm feeling very tired today and slightly melancholy... so here's a little misery for everyone to enjoy:
