THE KITCHEN TOOK A SLITCH

** I stand corrected - it's "kitchen took a slitch"

The Wizard of Oz is a beloved classic for many reasons - for me, it has several sentimental associations. I've seen it a million times and logged in most of those screenings with my nephew Alexander, with whom I watched on VHS several times a week when he was very young. His favorite line was the Lion's speech outside the castle (complete with Brooklyn accent) "I'm not afraid! I'll go in and rescue Dorothy, Wicked Witch or no Wicked Witch, guards or no guards!" I once bonded with someone who I initially didn't 'click' with when we both discovered that we each loved WOZ and began reciting and acting out the entire movie for our mutual friends.

I'll be getting together soon with some dear friends and their children to screen the Wizard of Oz and play Trivial Pursuit - the Wizard of Oz Edition ( a Christmas gift from my nephew).

What was that myth that you can see Jimmy Hoffa's body swinging from one of the trees or something?
