DANCING WITH THE "C" LIST

Largely due to the writer's strike (bless their picketing hearts) we've run into a bit of a drought in TV land... "new" episodes of our 'favorite' shows on the networks will be delayed if they even come back at all this season (thank goodness for LOST). So we resort to reality TV... sort of. I'd be watching "D-List Celebrity Rehab" anyway, but now I find myself in anticipation of the upcoming train wreck that is "Dancing With the Stars." I watched this only once because I wanted to see Heather Mills hissed and booed and beaten with her own leg - but now I think the current line-up of 'stars' has grabbed me:

Priscilla Presley (Elivs turning in his grave), tennis champion Monica Seles (no more Wimbledons) , Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin (no more West Wing ) and Olympic gold medal winning figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi (F Anton Ono!) were among the 12 celebrities named Monday as contestants for the spring season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

The other contestants are television and radio personality Adam Carolla (shoulda let Bonaduce take this one) actors Cristian De La Fuente (who?), Shannon Elizabeth (perfect) , Steve Guttenberg (yikes!) and Marissa Jaret Winokur (who?); R&B/pop singer Mario (needs a career boost, or just a boost); illusionist Penn Jillette (will need to work the magic) and Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor ( athelete quota met).
