BEST.CONCERT.EVER.

The opening act - though not on the marquee, was also quite impressive, Jack Lawrence, Brendon Benson, Jack White, Patrick Keeler - The Raconteurs:
(the vid's a bit frenetic - but the song kicks ass)

They rocked the theater hard - and all VERY talented in their own right. Jack White is one of THEE most talented rockers out there today, IMHO. "Every record executive in the world should want an artist like Jack White on their label. Whether with the White Stripes or the Raconteurs, White is a fiery, passionate and inventive performer, approaching a show with a life or death commitment. He's the type who makes audiences believe in rock 'n' roll and there just are not enough of his type around anymore. The Raconteurs demonstrated how to command a large stage with nothing more than performance and material; its was gritty and intense, paced impeccably and balanced between nuanced hard rock and modern extensions of the blues. "

But the other guys are no slackers - Benson's got a wonderful melodic voice and is a solid song-writer... and Keeler's drumming with Lawrence on bass are the backbone of the Greenhornes AND this band.

See 'em.

I want to see them/him live. I've got to say that My Morning Jacket are also one of those groups that can perform absolute magic live.
